Diagnostic ADHD Assessment Process
01
Initial Consultation
We begin with a comprehensive intake to understand your unique history, symptoms, and goals for the diagnostic journey.
02
Comprehensive Assessment
Utilizing clinical observation and standardized tools, we evaluate cognitive patterns and behavioral manifestations with mathematical precision.
03
Final Evaluation & Care Plan
We synthesize findings into a tailored clinical report and a roadmap for neurodiversity support and ADHD management.
ADHD Assessment
A Gold Battery approach to ADHD testing.
Our ADHD testing uses a Gold Battery approach, which means we use a thoughtful combination of standardized measures to get a fuller, more accurate picture of attention, executive functioning, emotional regulation, and related concerns. This allows us to look beyond surface symptoms and better understand what may actually be driving the challenges someone is experiencing.
What the assessment includes
A comprehensive ADHD evaluation may include interview-based history, symptom rating scales, cognitive and executive functioning measures, and review of collateral information when appropriate.
- Clinical intake and symptom review
- Attention and executive functioning screening
- Behavioral and emotional functioning measures
- Feedback and recommendations
CAARS™-2
The CAARSâ„¢-2 helps assess adult ADHD symptoms, including inattention, impulsivity, restlessness, and difficulties with organization or follow-through. This measure helps us understand how ADHD symptoms may be showing up in daily life and whether the pattern is consistent with ADHD.
BRIEF-A
The BRIEF-A looks at executive functioning, which includes skills like planning, organizing, remembering details, shifting between tasks, and managing time. Many people with ADHD struggle most not with intelligence, but with the day-to-day systems that help life run smoothly. The BRIEF-A helps us identify where those breakdowns are happening.
BASC-3
The BASC-3 gives us a broader look at emotional, behavioral, and social functioning. This is helpful because ADHD often overlaps with anxiety, mood concerns, stress, and other patterns that can affect how a person feels and functions.
SRS-2
The SRS-2 helps us understand social communication, social awareness, social motivation, and restricted or repetitive patterns that may suggest autistic traits when clinically relevant. It gives us a more complete picture rather than focusing on one symptom cluster alone.
Why this matters
Using a Gold Battery approach helps us move beyond guesswork. It gives us a more complete clinical picture, supports better diagnostic clarity, and helps us make recommendations that are more practical and personalized.
